Corporate and Strategic Planning – we deliver an integrated and practical framework that drives decision-making (linking Visioning, annual Operational Planning, annual Budget and Long-Term Financial Planning)
ELT Development – ELT as Team No 1 – perhaps the most underestimated success factor in any business. We can deliver a refocusing and reinvigoration of your ELT aimed at making it more committed to its key roles of strategy, leadership/culture and performance/accountability, and thereby increasing its respect with staff and elected members.

Budget process reviews – too many businesses get the basics of budgeting wrong.  Crest has a proven budget process that includes important links to Strategic planning, annual Operational Planning and Long-Term Financial Planning, We will deliver an easy-to-understand budget process focused on clarity, reality, ownership and accountability.
Organisation structure reviews – we are very experienced in this area and can offer traditional, contemporary solutions linked to the prevailing circumstances and priorities being faced by our clients.
Meetings Improvement Programs – implementing simple changes to deliver HUGE productivity improvements (and reduce frustration levels!).
Hogan profiling – for individuals and Teams – Hogan is a powerful, cost-effective tool to understand leadership, personal style, skills and abilities, strengths, and motivations/drivers, and helps to provide the opportunity to unlock potential improvement areas. Chris is accredited in the use of Hogan profiling.

Our Team

Chris established Crest Performance in 2016 with a view to sharing his knowledge, expertise and passion in the areas of local government, strategy, accountability, business excellence/improvement, leadership and culture.

Chris has over 42 years’ experience working in Local Government in seven Councils in both New South Wales and Queensland during his career.

His last position was as Chief Executive Officer of Logan City Council, the 5th largest Council by population (310,000), and the 3rd largest by budget ($839M 2015/16) in Australia, and one of the fastest growing Local Government areas in the nation. During his period as CEO of Logan the Council increased very significantly in size and diversity as a direct consequence of the Queensland Boundary Reform process in 2008. Chris led his Council through this period with great success and consequently gained further expertise in transition planning and delivery and change management.

In 2016 Chris commenced a consulting career and has worked on assignments with over 30 Councils in Queensland, NSW and the Northern Territory. He has also worked with the Fitzroy Basin Association and the Central Highland Development Corporation, as well as numerous small-medium sized private businesses.

Chris is passionate about the importance of efficient and effective local government. He is a strong advocate of leadership and culture, quality performance management, accountability systems at all levels, ongoing business improvement and strategic frameworks that drive decision making and performance.

Chris has extensive practical experience in these areas during his career to date both as a practitioner and as a consultant.

He has facilitated many Forums and Workshops at both political and professional levels. This has included ELT Development Days, Leadership and Culture Forums and Strategic Planning Workshops.

He has also spoken at many Conferences and seminars during his career with very positive feedback from both organisers and attendees.
